Manualisation by Sebastian Bieniek (B1EN1EK), 2017

"Manualisation" is a series of photographs by Sebastian Bieniek (B1EN1EK).

It is part of the "Bieniek-Hand" field in which the artist is working since 1996 and the fourth official series of the field that already in the past had inspired and was redone by many people from the fashion and artworld.

Among them in 2015 the french designer Jacquemus, who made in 2015 an entire collection based on Bienieks artwork that had a huge success on the Paris Fashion Week 2015. One year later the Caribbean fashion designer Cecilia Devana wrote that her collection was inspired by Bieniek, and in 2017 the dazed & confused and 032c magazine fashion photographer Maxime Ballesteros has published a book called "les absents" that shows his work based on Bieniek's original Bieniek-Hand artwork.

The sujet of this artworks are black hands that mostly come from behind to surrender or embrace a person or a figure.

The impression of the artworks is often described as surrealistic but also as claustrophobic or even creepy.
